Windows Galore

Lately I find myself drawn to light filled spaces with sunshine streaming through some incredible windows. Must be this weather!

Vintage Home Movie Theater and Success at the Home and Garden Show!

This year's Home and Garden Show at the Dayton Convention was a success for me and the launch of my new business (previously Laura Weimer Interior Design) I met and spoke with many potential clients and got a great response for the room I put together. My "Vintage Home Movie Theater" was a big hit and I won the People's Choice Award for the third year in a row! I couldn't be more honored.

I spent the past month working hard on getting everything finished on time, doing much of the work myself and enlisting the help of my family and husband (he had no idea what he was getting himself into when he married me, haha!) Later this week I'll go into more detail about the work that was done!

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was spent inside the convention center - but it was worth it! Looking forward to getting home from today to work in the yard with a cold beer. Nothing could be more relaxing!

Friday Feature: Chad Eisner

Chad Eisner's work is intriguing to me because of his varied work. One image looks like a cabin in the mountains in Colorado while the next is a luxurious penthouse suite or a cozy cottage kitchen. It really takes talent to be able to create in so many styles and I give this guy props! You can check out his website here for more work, but for now take a look at these beauties:

Spotlight on Peter Gentenaar

These paper sculptures by Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar are just too amazing not too share. Here, they are hung inside the Abbey Church of Saint-Riquier in France. Speechless!
