I found this lovely idea on Pinterest and got to thinkin, what other object could be used as mirrors? Well, here are a few ideas.....
Windows and Doors.....
Vanity Mirrors......This would look dated on a dresser but looks amazing as a headboard!
And car mirrors.....
And even rulers used as a frame.

Our Wedding is Featured in The Knot!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Unfortunately I am a bit under the weather this morning due to catching a cold from my husband. (oh, the joys of marriage) I won't let that get me down though seeing as how our wedding is featured in this month's "The Knot" magazine in Ohio. Kinda fun to see the photos all glossy in a magazine!

Sloped Ceilings
Brian and I are getting closer and closer to remodeling the attic space of our home into a second story loft. Just can't decide between remodeling the basement first, or the upstairs. Until we make the decision, I've been having fun gathering inspiration and ideas for our cozy upstairs with sloped ceilings.
We are hoping to add a bathroom upstairs as well that will definitely have a sloped situation goin on in there. I love the idea of putting the tub on the low-end with a skylight above. And this shower with the half curtain is pretty darn cute, too!
I love the addition of the columns here. So cool!

I am in love with these skylights! Probably won't be in love with the price tag, though......

Portrait Session by Kimberly Sink
I recently had a portrait session done by the fantastic Mrs. Kimberly Sink before my trip to Texas. Dressing up for the day was pretty fun and probably the only time I'll ever feel like a super-model, haha. These will be used on my website, blog and promotional materials once I get the chance to update them.
Here are a few of my favorite shots!
She currently lives in Oregon but loves to travel for work, and lucky for me, comes back to Dayton every once in awhile. She's truly a pleasure to work with!

And now that you're probably tired of looking at my face, be sure to visit her website! www.kimberlysink.com

Tuesday Tip: Styles of Chair Backs
Educate Yo'self! I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was super cool. Of course, there's no way I'll ever remember these but as an interior designer I feel it's my duty to at least try.

Two weeks in Texas
I can't believe it's been nearly a month since my last post! It's been a nice break for me and my two weeks spent in Texas were well needed. I'm back and feeling refreshed! Hopefully it will not be so long in between posts :)
Here are a few cool design related finds during my trip. Sorry the pics aren't the best but most of them were taken with my cell phone while bar hopping.....you know how that goes!
In Dallas one night in the Deep Ellum area, I spotted this adorable furniture shop called Mid2Mod.
Unfortunately they were closed so all I could do was window shop.
Here was another little shop called Century Modern in the same area that was super cute as well.
This store was in Fort Worth near the stockyards. For the most part, its not my personal style but I could still rock one or two pieces individually. I am in love with Fort Worth and the Western charm it possesses!
These adorable phone booths were in our hotel lobby in San Antonio.
And while in San Antonio, of course we visited the River Walk. It was gorgeous! We walked the whole entire thing - one way and then all the way back on the opposite side which was probably about 3 miles one way. Very exhausting but well worth it!
This next picture was also from the River Walk under a bridge. They used lighting and colored glass strips as decoration. The light reflected the colors around on everything under the bridge. What a great (and probably inexpensive!) idea!
I visited the Jonathan Adler store in downtown Austin which has only been open for a couple of months.
And finally, for our last night in Austin we stayed at the Driskill hotel which was an amazing end to the entire trip.
I loved our room! And the ceilings were so fun in orange!
