Modern Masters

Old-world plaster techniques for today's interiors

I just got home from my two-day class at Patricia's Decorative Arts Studio & Academy located outside of Tipp City. Patricia Winblad owns the studio that started as a small home business for hand painted furniture and murals. Inspired, she began to search for something more. She began attending many faux academies, workshops and seminars and soon found out that this was her artistic calling. Now, Patricia thrives on keeping up with the latest techniques and products. Education in this growing business is what keeps her at the top of her profession. She thrives on creating new and innovative finishes. She and her staff's ongoing education will assure that all of her students and clients will receive the newest and most innovative finishes that the industry provides.

The class I took is a great class to begin your faux painting business or for the homeowner who wants to create faux finishes in their home. During the two day class we completed project boards including glazing, venetian plasters, old world Italian wall effects, and more. The class was very inspiring and FUN! I can't wait to try out what I learned to spruce up my parent's fireplace!
